Virtual Press Conference To Provide Update On Covid-19 Pandemic

CITY OF BROWNSVILLE AND HOSPITALS TO HOLD VIRTUAL PRESS CONFERENCE TO PROVIDE UPDATE ON COVID-19 PANDEMIC

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (June 17, 2020) — The City of Brownsville will hold a virtual press conference on Friday, June 19, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. to provide an update on the state of our Hospitals and Health Institutions during the COVID-19 pandemic. The press conference will be held virtually to support the fight against the Coronavirus and will be live streamed on its Facebook page.

Speakers include Mayor Trey Mendez, Art Garza – Valley Regional Medical Center CEO and Leslie Bingham – Valley Baptist Medical Center CEO. Also providing information are Dr. Joseph McCormick with the Hispanic Health Research Center at the UT-Health School of Public Health Brownsville and Dr. Art Rodriguez – Public Health Director for the City of Brownsville. Spanish and American Sign Language (ASL) translation will be made available.
